WINDS CALM, BUT CLOUDS RETURN

Skies remain mostly clear through the evening hours, courtesy of an area of high pressure that kept sunshine across  Central PA Thursday.  The winds finally begin to calm through the evening.  A cold front up in Canada begins to slide south, increasing clouds late.  By daybreak, expect plenty of clouds blanketing the area.  Lows are chilly, in the middle to upper 30s.  The clouds stick around Friday, but it is mainly dry.  The winds pick up a bit again, and there is the chance for a late day shower.  Most of the area sees rain and snow showers Friday evening through the overnight as the cold front slips through.

A 50/50 WEEKEND

The weekend weather looks split at this point in time.  Saturday the front hangs to our south, keeping the chance for showers Saturday, but it fortunately does not look like a washout.  You’ll want to bring the umbrella if you plan on venturing out to any parades.  Highs reach the lower to middle 40s.  Sunday, the luck of the Irish brings an area of high pressure in from the north.  This means that skies clear out, and the sun temporarily returns for St. Paddy’s Day.  Highs remain in the lower to middle 40s.

SPRING SHOWERS PERSIST

Monday it’s back to clouds and rain showers when our next storm system approaches.  Rain showers could mix with some snow showers overnight Monday, with some lingering showers Tuesday.  The first day of spring is dry on Wednesday, but the chance for a shower returns on Thursday as skies cloudy up.

Have a great night!
