Elizabethtown College’s women’s lacrosse team took time Thursday to honor the victims of last weekend’s bus crash involving the Seton Hill women’s team.

The crash took the lives of coach Kristie Quigley, her unborn son and the bus driver, Anthony Guaetta. The crash also injured several players. The team was heading to Millersville University for a game when the bus crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

At the start of Thursday’s game, Elizabethtown and Amherst held a moment of silence. In addition, players worked to raise money for a scholarship fund for Quigley’s young son, Gavin.

“I hope that whatever little help we can give can really help. And, I know that everybody’s reaching out all across the country. And, I think that everybody just giving their little bit will really help make a big difference,” said Elizabethtown senior goalie Rachael Waldman.

According to the website where the fund raiser began, people have donated more than $55,000 as of Thursday night. To view the website, click here.

Lacrosse teams across the country are working together to honor the crash victims. A Facebook page called “Play 4 Seton Hill” has also been established. Click here to view it.
