Police say a man who was headed to the Farm Show Complex to officiate a wrestling tournament was killed as he was crossing North Cameron Street on Friday morning. Stanley Dutterer, 73, of Hanover, was struck by a vehicle when he fell onto the road after stumbling off of a median near the main entrance of the Farm Show building.
Police say Dutterer was taken to Harrisburg Hospital and died a short time later.
Dutterer was carrying officiating equipment in a bag, police said. Authorities found Dutterer’s vehicle parked in a lot across from the building.
The car that hit Dutterer was driven by a 21-year-old woman from Hummelstown.
