According to the group’s website, Jump Street was founded in 1978. It was formerly known as The People Place and Metro Arts of the Capital Region until changing it to its current name.
The program is dedicated to developing educational and economic opportunities with the arts for all age groups.
They expect more than 10,000 people to come to the fest. Grants will be awarded to local artist and art organizations.
There will also be a musical instrument drive. They will collect used instruments as part of Jump Streets gift of music program for children.
