Gradual changes

SLOW PATTERN CHANGE:  After our late season snow yesterday, we’re back on track toward a warming trend, but it will be gradual.  Upper level energy is being blocked by a stubborn high to the east….so whatever progress we make will be small gains each and every day.

Today, we’re generally cloudy with scattered rain and snow showers during the daylight hours.  Not everyone gets wet, but do expect the chance for a quick shot at some flakes or drops or both.  Highs will be relegated to the middle 40s with a breeze from the northwest.

Wednesday, we’ll be stuck in the mid 40s as some clouds and strong northwesterly winds cut off most of the heating from the strong march sun.  We may see a handful of flakes fly too during the day.  By Thursday we’re still mainly cloudy, breezy, and cool with temps now into the middle and upper 40s.

Finally, the pattern breaks down for Friday.  We break up the breeze a bit and see a bit more sunshine.  Highs should hit the 50° mark.

Gradual Warming

We’ll slowly work our way to the 50° mark by the end of the week.

EASTER WEEKEND:  Saturday will be a gorgeous day.  We’ll see the sun win the battle against the clouds.  Highs on Sunday will touch the low to middle 50s.  Great for some egg hunts or vigil services.  We only drop to the upper 30s for lows at night.

Easter Sunday looks dry to start.  We’ll warm into the upper 50s by the afternoon with clouds gradually arriving.  Models are now trending toward some rain beginning around or after dark.  So the evening may feature some wet travel plans.  Rain will continue overnight before tapering to showers on Monday with highs in the 50s.

Have a terrific Tuesday!
