Fire crews responded to a fully involved shed fire around 6 p.m. on Vinegar Ferry Road in East Donegal Township. The shed contained gasoline, paint and other flammable products that accelerated the spread of the flames onto the side of the house.

The fire spread into the attic of the home, before crews were able to control the flames. Damage to the home is estimated at upwards of $200,000 dollars, which includes fire damage to the attic and smoke and water damage to the living space.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. Fire officials say a couple live at the residence but they were not home at the time of the fire. The family cat is still missing at this time.
