SPRING CONTINUES TO ELUDE US

Brisk winds, clouds and rain and snow showers keeping it feeling like winter is still hanging around.  The isolated showers will diminish going through the evening.  Winds will ease up once again and lows will drop to the low to mid 30s under variably cloudy skies.

NO CHANGE IN THE PATTERN FRIDAY

Unfortunately, it appears the persistent northwesterly flow remains pretty entrenched through the end of the week. This means the clouds remain and may mix with some sunshine from time to time.  And once again, we’ll see spotty rain or snow showers pop up in the afternoon.  Highs will continue below normal in the upper 40s to around 50.  Winds will be breezy out of the northwest 10 to 20 mph.

FINALLY SUNSHINE

High pressure builds in late Friday, calming the winds and bringing drier air to the region. This will help to clear the clouds so we will see more sunshine to start the holiday weekend.  Highs will respond nicely warming to the mid 50s after a start in the low 30s.

LOOKING WETTER FOR EASTER

Morning services for the holiday looking dry, along with any early Easter egg hunts. But you’ll want to keep the umbrella handy for the afternoon and evening as showers are expected to be in the area.  Highs will still reach the low 50s.

Easter Forecast

SHOWERS FOR THE START OF APRIL

Most of Monday, April 1st, looks mainly dry for much of the day with a mix of clouds and sunshine but can’t rule out a brief shower towards evening.  Morning temps will be quite mild in the mid 40s so afternoon highs will have no problem getting to the mid 50s before cooler air returns overnight.

A few rain or snow showers may linger early Tuesday.  One thing you will notice is the chilly air returns as temperatures will drop back into the 40s once again both Tuesday and Wednesday.  But the cool shot will be brief.  A ridge will build in for the rest of the week warming us back.
