Governor Tom Corbett highlights a $1.3 million increase in funding to support domestic violence programs.
The governor was joined by leaders and local advocates on Friday at the YWCA to talk about the proposal and how it can help the programs.
A total of 60 sub-grantees serve all 67 counties in Pennsylvania providing a variety of domestic violence services including a 24/ 7 hotline and prevention programs.
If the 10 percent funding proposal would go through it , the total state spending on domestic violence programs would be about $13.8 million.
