Sunny Saturday, damp Easter

WebPHOTO Clouds and some light showers diminish into the evening hours with the loss of daytime heating, and high pressure building into the area keeps the clouds away for the first half of the weekend.  Through the overnight period, skies clear with lows dipping into the 30s.  We warm quickly Saturday with ample sunshine across Central PA.  Temperatures reach the middle 50s, even upper 50s in some spots.

WebPHOTO1A cold front heading this way increase clouds overnight Saturday, but the first half of the Easter holiday looks dry.  From late morning to early afternoon, showers move in from west to east.  The good news is most of us are dry for morning services and Easter egg hunts.  The showers won’t stop highs from reaching the lower 50s.  Into Monday, there is only the chance for some showers late in the day as a secondary cold front approaches.  Warm air is squeezed up ahead of the front, with highs reaching the middle 50s, even upper 50s in spots.  Behind this secondary front though, we cool for Tuesday.  There is a stray morning shower possible with high temperatures only reaching the middle to upper 40s.

Wednesday is a bit on the cool side with a northwesterly flow bringing a mixture of sunshine and clouds.  Highs are near 50 degrees, with many locations stuck in the upper 40s.  Thursday it’s back to average temperatures, with highs in the middle 50s and plenty of sun!  Friday doesn’t look too bad either, with partly cloudy skies.

Have a great weekend!
