Police are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman in Manchester Township, York County Tuesday. The coroner says a man shot his wife, then turned the gun on himself in their home on Hedgegate Lane. The woman was shot in her bed, possibly asleep. The man shot himself in the chest.
The coroner believes the shootings happened Tuesday morning between 6 and 9am. Three people were inside the home, but apparently heard nothing. The bodies were found five hours later. The couple has two children, ages 16 and 11. Police do not believe they were home at the time.
The victims’ identities have not been released.
