Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to 970 Hedgegate Lane in Manchester Township for a report of two gunshot victims.
Family members reported finding 43 year old Parag Patel and his 41 year old wife Niha Patel deceased in an upstairs bedroom.
Investigation found that Niha Patel was shot one time in the head by her husband. Parag Patel then turned the weapon on himself. Parag Patel suffered a single gunshot wound to chest.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene by the York County Coroner’s Office.
The incident likely occurred around 08:00 hours this morning. The mother of the Niha Patel was in the home at the time of occurrence. She did not report hearing anything out of the ordinary.
A .38 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene.
