Car hits bus in Penn Township, Lancaster County

Emergency crews are on scene at a school bus crash in Penn Township near Lititz. It happened around 2:15 p.m. in the area of Doe Run Road and North Penryn Road.

A car rear ended the school bus and became stuck under the back end. The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.

Police say the bus was carrying elementary school children from Manheim Central School District. There is no word whether or not any children were injured in the accident.

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police say Doe Run Road in Penn Township will be closed for several hours due to the accident.
