Police in West Hempfield Township are investigating the death of a 19 year-old man who was found lying on Silver Spring Road last night. It happened around 9:30pm in the 1500 block of Silver Spring Road. Emergency Medical Responders and Police were called for a cardiac arrest.
When they arrived to the scene, they found two people performing CPR on a male they say they found lying on the road. The man, described as a 19 year-old from Landisville was transported to Lancaster General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The witnesses had been traveling separately and had come upon the subject lying on the roadway. Police are continuing their investigation to determine whether or not the victim’s injuries were caused by a hit & run vehicle or by other means. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
