April is sexual assault awareness month and Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson is reminding everyone that sexual assaults can happen anywhere and at any time. During a press conference Tuesday, the mayor listed some alarming statistics. Nationally, one in four girls and one in six boys will be the victim of a sexual assault before they turn 18. She said victims are likely to be black as they are white. Mayor Thompson formed a task force last year after several attacks in the city and says she wants to do all she can to help the victims.
