People all over the world are celebrating Israel’s 65 years of independence this week.
A community wide celebration took place at the Harrisburg Jewish Community Center on Sunday.
The day kicked-off with opening ceremonies followed by a walk down Front Street.
Everyone then went inside to learn more about Israeli culture.
Lillian Rappaport with the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg says, “They go around to all the different booths, they’ll get an education as to the different cities and regions in Israel and they’ll get to do a little craft item as well and we also have Isralei food here which is really wonderful.”
Israel Independence week runs through Sunday, April 21st.
