Springettsbury Township Police are searching for the man that robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Haines Road. On Friday, at around 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the bank for an apparent armed robbery.

A man, described as light-skinned Hispanic or Asian, handed a note to the teller demanding money. The note indicated that the suspect had a weapon but none was shown during the robbery. He was able to flee the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as around six feet tall, 230 pounds with a muscular build and between 20 and 30 years old. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing wire rimmed glasses, a red hat, black shirt and faded blue jeans.

Anyone with any information about this crime or who might recognize the individual in the photos is asked to contact the Springettsbury Township Police Department at 717-757-3525.

Some want armed officers in schools all day. What about in banks? Why isn't all banking done online or through Drive-Thrus? Bank robberies are getting old.

No doubt, the Springettsbury Police will find this guy. Then, they can beat the hell out of him with no repercussions. It is a little hard to see the guy with such a small photo, but how could the teller confuse Asian with Hispanic? I understand being in a high state of anxiety but the two ethnic groups look nothing alike. Meanwhile, I will keep my eyes peeled for a man wearing a red hat!

Those two officers are on desk duty.

It is possible for an Hispanic Asian or Asian Hispanic to exist. I saw a guy in a red hat today but he was black, I think. I'm still freaked out on suspicion of every duo in a black hat and a white hat.

You would think though that a bank would have a better photo for the public.

What the hell is the need to even enter a bank? Online banking and a drive thru bank is all that is needed. However, since the option is still available to go inside, please invest in better surveillance cameras!!

there are many reasons that you would still need to go into a bank. for instance a business that needs to make deposits and get change will need to go inside, there is only so much you can fit in the tube before it gets stuck. there are also questions that people may have regarding their account and may not want to shout for everyone to hear. not to mention opening accounts, accessing safe deposit boxes, etc. as far as the picture goes that is not too bad compared to others that i have seen, or even what was avail years ago. i would also imagine that the bank does have more pictures from other camera angles and such.
