Trash is being blamed for causing a massive barn fire in Lancaster County Monday.

The 2 alarm fire gutted a barn on West Burkholder Drive in Clay Township.  You could see thick black smoke pouring from the barn for miles.

The property owners lit the fire behind the barn earlier in the day but it got out of control.

No animals were in the barn at the time and damage is estimated at 100-thousand dollars.
