Cab driver robbed at gunpoint in Lebanon City

Lebanon City Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday morning. A 51-year old cab driver told police he was robbed by three men in the area of 4th and Guilford Streets.

The driver was dispatched to Guilford Street to pick up a passenger. When he arrived, the three suspects entered the vehicle and one pushed a silver gun into the driver’s back and demanded cash.

The robbers were able to make off with an undisclosed amount of cash and his cell phone. The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Police say the suspect with the gun was described as a black male wearing dark clothes and a white bandana over his face. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Lebanon City Police Department at 717-272-6611.

    I guess we should add all cab drivers to the list of all bank tellers, pilots, teachers, and convenience store clerks who should carry guns to protect themselves.
