A Perry County church is destroyed after a massive fire Wednesday morning.  It started around 2-2:30 a.m. Firefighters got several calls and arrived to find the Logania Church of God engulfed in flames. Member Sue Seltzer lives next door and watched in tears.

The church is located along Loshes Run Road in Wheatfield Township, a very rural area surrounded by trees and narrow roads. This made it difficult for firefighters to get water to the church. They had to use a nearby stream to get water.

Between 50-75 firefighters responded from several different departments but were not able to save the church.

A State Police Fire Marshall is investigating where and how the fire started.

Members say they will be looking for somewhere else to worship while they rebuild.
