Vernon Ness

Additional charges have been filed against a man accused of robbing two CVS Pharmacies in Cumberland County last week.

Vernon Ness, 25, of Manchester Township, has been charged in connection with the robbery of the CVS Pharmacy along the 1200 block of Market Street in Lemoyne on April 22.

Ness is already in Cumberland County Prison after he was arrested in a similar robbery that occurred at a CVS Pharmacy in Hampden Township on April 23.

Police apprehended Ness as he walked out of the store located along the 100 block of South Sporting Hill Road. During the robbery, Ness handed an employee a note demanding certain drugs be placed in a bag, authorities said.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 8.
