Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor making some candid remarks about the 2000 case that resulted in the election of George W. Bush. Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, the 83 year old remarked that it may have been a mistake for the court to take the case. In December of 2000, A Florida Supreme Court ordered a manual recount of all the states votes in the Presidential Election, that order later overturned by the high court. O’Connor said the supreme court, quote: “Added to the problem at the end of the day.”
