Harrisburg – Harrisburg police continue to search for the suspect in a weekend shooting that left one man dead.  It was a violent weekend in the Capital City, with a total of three people shot during three separate incidents.

It was a violent day in Harrisburg Saturday after three people were shot at three different locations in the city within 22 hours.  The third incident, the fatal shooting, left a 27-year-old suburban Harrisburg man dead and police searching for the person or persons responsible.

The homicide investigation kicked off around 11 p.m. Saturday night.  Harrisburg police got a call for a disturbance at a bar at 15th and Market Streets.  When the first police officer arrived, the man involved was already gone.  A short time later, police were dispatched one block away for the report of a shooting.  When they got on scene, they found 27-year-old Tyrell Vaughan suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and body.

He was taken to Hershey Medical Center where he later died.

Before Saturday night’s homicide, police were also looking for three guys that beat, shot and robbed a victim around 1:45 a.m. Saturday morning along Vernon Street.  Just two hours later, another man was shot in the leg at a MDO’s Pizza along Derry Street.

In both of the Saturday morning shootings, the victims are expected to be OK.  In both cases, the victims were shot in the leg.  The victim of the assault was also being treated for some cuts and bruises from a violent beating.

In all three cases, no suspects are in custody.  Police hope to track down the killer in the city’s 6th homicide of the year.
