The first block of East High Street in Carlisle Borough was closed Monday night due to a water main break. The break in a six inch main happened at around 8:30 pm. East High Street between North Hanover and South Bedford Streets is closed while public works crews make repairs. Officials say the repair work could extend into the Tuesday morning hours.
