An elderly man was killed Friday morning after a farm tractor backed over him in Lancaster County. The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. along 2300 block of Harrisburg Pike in East Hempfield Township. Police say the 81-year-old victim was attaching a mower onto the back of the farm tractor when he lost his balance and fell.
The driver of the tractor did not notice he had fallen and accidentally backed over him, police said.
The victim was pronounce dead at the scene, according to the Lancaster County coroner’s office.
No autopsy is scheduled.
