There may be a way to reverse gray hair without using hair dye. European researchers say the gray is caused by an accumulation of hydrogen peroxide in the hair follicle that causes the hair to bleach itself. European scientists developed a sunlight activated topical compound that they say returns hair to its natural color.
The treatment was also successful in treating a skin pigmentation condition called vitiligo.
