Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick says they were working on a tip from a woman who was credible or they wouldn’t have spent all the time and energy on this lead.

Jocelyn Grier’s family owns a building in Allison Hill that looks directly into the backyard that was the site of the search for human remains.

“I can’t have my kids out there without having to worry,” says Jocelyn Grier,  “if something is going to happen , if someone is going to shoot. I want to go somewhere where I can be at peace.”

Crews began digging for a possible body along 16th and Market Street on Monday morning, it all stemmed from a tip that the Dauphin County Coroner’s office says came from a woman who says she saw a body being buried there 18 years ago. The woman was 4-years-old at the time and she believed it was a deep grave.

The search ended Tuesday as crews removed a large tree that got in their way but found nothing. The coroner says while they didn’t find anything , it would have been neglectful to ignore the tip.
