EARLY CHILL: It’s certainly a cold one to get this Tuesday started, but once we warm today we don’t turn back. Expect a frosty start for many with sunshine warming us through the morning hours, helping to melt away the frost. Clouds look to build in though the day as high pressure moves out. Expect more clouds by afternoon as highs climb to the low 60s for most. By evening, a few showers may slip in to the area. Overnight, showers will taper under mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be much milder, in the upper 40s.
WARMING: Wednesday, we get back into the 70s as many will hit the lower and middle 70s by afternoon. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. A warm front moves through early and the attending cold front comes later in the day. This will work to fire showers and thunderstorms during the day. Some of the storms could get strong depending on the energy available. Right now, we’re just watching the trends to see if we need to ramp up concern.
The cold front hangs up nearby for Thursday. We should remain warm with highs nearing 80°; however, most of the rain chances will stay very near to our south. A few showers or storms may linger in from the south. Friday should be another warm day with some added sun and a reduced rain threat, highs in the upper 70s.
WEEKEND: Saturday starts sunny and dry and ends with clouds and the chance for a handful of showers. Highs hit the upper 70s. Sunday, we’re expecting a low pressure system to slip by. This means we’re still mild and in the 70s, but we get extra clouds, showers, and thunderstorms in the mix. The rain looks to taper for Monday with no major cool air on the back side, so we should stay in the 70s.
