STORMIN’ & WARMIN’:  The warm front took some time to enter the region yesterday, but once it did the temperatures and humidity spiked late in the day.  We’re still under the influence of this warm and moist air this morning.  It’s bringing fog to spots, but it’s also supplying just enough energy to keep some storms going that developed to our north and west.  The main energy is removed from the area, but do expect some showers and thunderstorms to move through early.  Temps are lingering in the upper 50s.

Current Setup

Showers and storms are rolling south early today as the cold front slowly sags south.

Once the showers and storms pass by mid-morning, we expect the cold front to slowly sag too.  Today, however, looks to be a warm day.  With increasing sunshine and winds from the west warming over the mountains, we should hit the 80° mark.  Humidity will slowly fade as we head toward evening.  Temps will be in the 70s for evening dinner plans.  Tonight, we’ll clear more as temps drop to the middle 50s.  Enjoy!

RETURN TO MILD:  So we lose the 80s after today, but we replace them with seasonably mild air.  Friday, cooler air settles in and despite sunshine we only make it to the mid 70s.  Not bad.

WEEKEND: The front from this week will settle to our south and several waves will ride along it through the weekend.  For Saturday, expect added clouds and a possible shower or storm to arrive later in the day.  Highs only make it to the low 70s.  Sunday, some easterly flow kicks in keeping us mainly cloudy and cooler with highs in the upper 60s.  We’ll see scattered showers as a weak wave rattles on by.

Temp Trend

NEXT WEEK: The unsettled weather continues for Monday into Tuesday.  Slightly milder air slips in as additional weak waves roll through.  Expect low 70s for Monday and mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible.  Tuesday, we’re a bit milder with temps into the upper 70s.  Partly cloudy skies prevail and a few showers are possible.  By Wednesday, a deeper more energetic system begins to move eastward.  Ahead of it, warmer air slides in getting us to the low 80s.  Scattered showers and storms are possible through the day as the next system approaches.

Happy Friday Eve!  Make it a tremendous Thursday!
