Man injured in York shooting takes taxi to hospital

A York man was injured in a shooting Wednesday evening. It happened around 7:45pm near the intersection of Mckenzie and Pleasant Avenues. Police say the victim, Angel Garcia, 48, of York was taken to York Hospital by a taxi cab before officers arrived on the scene. He was treated and released.

Anyone with information about the person or persons responsible for the shooting can contact York City Police at 846-1234 or anonymously by texting the key word “Yorktips” followed by a space and the anonymous information to 847411 (tip411).
