The man accused of terrorizing three elderly Mennonite sisters in their home last December pleaded guilty guilty this morning. Dereck Taylor Holt, 24, blamed his actions on the abuse of prescription medications but took full responsibility at the same time.

Holt admitted to tying up the three Hoover sisters, beating them and shocking them while railing against their faith on December 14th. The victims, who range in age from 85 to 91, were hospitalized after the attack. Holt also vandalized their Ephrata home. Holt could face life in prison.

His sentencing will take place two or three months from now.
