Police are investigating a reported ‘sexting’ incident involving students at Cumberland Valley High School. The investigation began on Thursday when Silver Spring Township police learned that a 17-year-old male student forwarded a photograph of a 15-year-old female’s breasts to several others at the high school.

After receiving the photograph, the 17-year-old allegedly threatened to share it if the victim did not have sex with him, police said.

The juvenile is being charged with one count of Transmission of Sexually Explicit Images by a Minor.

The charges were filed through the juvenile court system.

First, the 15 year old gave herself a reputation by first sending the picture to the 17 year old, why would you send a picture of your breasts, if you didn’t want to have sex, the 15 year old is looking for attention, there should be charges filed on her to because sexting is illegal in the first place. The 17 year old isn’t innocent, but they shouldn’t be the only charges.

Sounds like more charges should be filed than just that. Regardless, why is this anything unusual? Sexting is rampant. They are both minors so it's pretty much a parent-police issue. Has nothing to do with the rest of the public in this case.

Again, I'll say with this story that it's about as interesting as a person getting a citation for not having their dog on a leash.
