Man arrested in connection to Knight Inn armed robbery

A Lancaster City man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Saturday at a hotel in East Lampeter Township.

Jorge William Rosado, Jr., 30, was taken into custody by Lancaster City Police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday morning.

Police say Rosado robbed a 22-year-old woman at gunpoint at the Knight Inn, located along the 2100 block of Lincoln Highway East. During the robbery, Rosado hit the victim in the face with the gun before firing several shots into the air.

He is charged with Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Theft by Unlawful Taking.

Rosado was taken to Lancaster County Prison after he was unable to post bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 14.
