Armed bank robbery in Harrisburg

A manhunt for an armed bank robbery suspect in Harrisburg.  Police say it happened just before 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Citizens Bank branch in the first block of South 2nd Street. The suspect walked into the bank and gave a teller a note demanding money. He also had what appeared to be a handgun.  He placed it on the counter for the teller to see. After he was handed some cash he ran out the door. No one was injured.

The suspect is a black male in his 20’s.  His hat was pulled down to hide the upper part of his face. Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect.  Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective Richard Iachini at (717) 255-3118 or Lt. Robert Fegan at (717) 255-3114.
