Police charge a Harrisburg man with Attempted Homicide in a Tuesday morning shooting incident. Harrisburg City Police responded to a call of a shooting at around 10:10 am in the 1900 block of Walnut Street. According to witnesses, the suspect identified as 34 year old Strollen Battle, Jr, was upset and threatening to kill a woman sitting in a parked car. Battle, allegedly fired several shots at the woman. The woman was able to duck down in the car to avoid being hit. She was able to get out of the car and run to safety.
Battle also allegedly fired shots at a man associated with the woman. The intended victim also managed to avoid being hit. Battle got into a waiting car and fled the scene.
Battle was reportedly seen Wednesday night in the Woodlands Townhomes area in Rutherford, Swatara Township. A team of Swatara Township Police surrounded Battle, who was taken into custody with incident.
Charges against Battle include Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Carrying Firearm without License and other released offenses. The investigation into the case continues.
