Wayside Presbyterian Church is pleased to host its second annual Waystock event, inviting the community to a Music and Fun Festival that includes local church praise bands and family activities on the lawn of the property at 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, PA. (Indoors in case of inclement weather.)  A large 40’ X 60’ tent will provide ample shade for the day.

The community is invited to come out and enjoy a range of free family activities including a Bouncy House, face painting, and picnic games, along with great free music and free food & drinks as long as they last. A small silent auction will feature local sports and theatre packages as well as offers from other local merchants.

According to musical coordinator, Chris Rowles, “We’re excited to see participants and guests mixing Christian music & fellowship. The event benefits a great cause in the Hempfield area Food Pantry. Our praise band, Grace Notes, is very excited about hosting.”

According to Fred Carbaugh, Worship Committee Chair, We’re delighted to kick off Waystock with special guest, nationally renowned Gospel Singer Sharron Kay King, beginning at 12:30 p.m.”, Six bands are then slated to perform throughout the afternoon until 7:00 p.m., including Wayside’s own Grace Notes, The Book of Frank, Cross Roads BIC, Chiques United Methodist Church, Revival 1.3, and Columbia Presbyterian’s Heaven Bound.  Wayside Pastor Steve Fritz will serve as M.C. of the event.

Chic Rhodes, General Coordinator, notes “We’ve had great support from our sponsors and we’re set to fill our food truck to the brim with canned goods for the Hempfield area Food Pantry.  It’s a great musical and entertainment opportunity for families – young & old.  Please come out…bring your family, friends and neighbors… and enjoy the day with us.”  Rhodes confirmed that last year, 632 pounds of food and $537 were contributed to the Hempfield Area Food Pantry.  The Wayside team hopes to exceed those statistics this year.

The event is free to the public; donations of non-perishable food items for the Hempfield Food Pantry are appreciated.  Bring your lawn chair and join us!

Wayside offers two Sunday morning worship choices, with a traditional service from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by fellowship and a contemporary service with our band, Grace Notes, in our Atrium from 11:00 a.m.-12 noon. Wayside Presbyterian Church is a smaller, friendly congregation of Christian warmth and joy, located between Hempfield High School and the QVC on Stony Battery Rd. in Landisville.
