Police charge a Harrisburg teenage with Criminal Homicide in the stabbing death of his cousin.  17 year old Sean Broden, Jr. was taken into custody late Friday afternoon.  Broden is accused of killing 25 year Stevie Everson.  Everson bled to death from a stab wound he suffered during an alleged fight with Broden.  It happened Thursday afternoon at a home in the 400 block of South 25th Street. When police responded to the scene, Stevie’s grandfather reported that his two grandsons, Stevie and Sean were fighting.  Stevie fell or slipped and seemed out of breath. He laid on the floor adjacent to the kitchen, but it soon became apparent that he was in trouble.  Sean fled the home.

After calling 9111, the grandfather performed CPR, but Sean died.  He didn’t have any apparent signs of an injury. Sean Broden returned home later and was interviewed by detectives. He admitted he and Stevie had fought, but did not have any idea why Stevie collapsed.

Following an autopsy, Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick declared Everson’s death a homicide.  It is Harrisburg’s 10th confirmed homicide of 2013.
