State police have identified the tow truck driver who was killed in a crash involving two tractor-trailers along I-81 in Cumberland County Friday morning.
Troopers say 26-year-old Clayton Stoner, of Greencastle, was driving northbound in a tow truck when he crossed over the grassy median and into the southbound lanes. The tow truck side swiped a big rig hauling twin trailers causing one of the trailers to roll onto its side.
Two people inside the tractor-trailer were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, state police said.
After colliding with the big rig the tow truck slammed head-on into another tractor-trailer. The driver was seriously injured and taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
Stoner was pronounced dead at the scene.
