Pit Bulls got lots of love today in York County. The York County SPCA hosted the 3rd annual “Bully Bash” at John Rudy Park.

People brought their four legged friends to the park for a day of fun, filled with activities, games, food and training demos. The goal of today’s event is to promote positive awareness of the bully breeds by reducing negative stereotypes.

“We have a lot of pit bulls and we have learned and we know the love of all these wonderful animals. We are trying to make sure the public knows that these are really wonderful dogs,” said organizing committee supervisor, Wanda Turner.

The bash this year also included a 5-K race to raise money for the York County SPCA.
