By Stephanie Gallman, (CNN) — The Richmond International Airport in Virginia was evacuated Tuesday morning due to a “serious threat” received by phone, according to the airport’s Twitter account.

Sweeps with police dogs were under way. Parking decks were clear, and passengers could access their vehicles and leave the airport, the airport said.

Passengers whose flights have been disrupted should contact their airline for rebooking options, the airport’s Twitter account said.
