CLEARING AND COOLING
A storm system continues to work its way across the region this afternoon. Fortunately, the severe weather threat was squandered by this morning’s round of severe weather. So now the atmosphere is just too stable to spark any additional severe weather today. Only a few showers are possible near the border. Otherwise a change in air mass is on the way. Temperatures begin cooling once the system passes during the late day and evening hours. You’ll also notice a drop in humidity and an increase in winds. Conditions stay breezy into Friday. It will be a mixture of sunshine and clouds. A few showers are expected to pop up during the afternoon. Highs reach the lower to middle 70s.
Saturday full sunshine and dry conditions return for Father’s Day weekend. Highs are back at the 80 degree mark. Sunday clouds increase ahead of our next system. There is the chance for a few late day showers, especially west. Most of the area will be dry for most of Father’s Day, however.
SHOWERS TO SUN
Another system passes through Monday. This brings showers and storms back into the forecast. Skies begin to dry out Tuesday, but still expect the chance for some thunderstorms. Highs reach the lower 80s both days. Sunshine settles in again by the middle of the week. Mostly sunny skies are expected Wednesday and Thursday. Highs are in the lower 80s.
Have a great night!
