A Lancaster City man faces charges in a fatal Route 283 hit & run.  It happened just before 10:30 pm on June 4th in the westbound lane of Route 283 in Rapho Township, Lancaster County.  Manheim Borough Police say 47 year old Brian Myers, of Lancaster was driving on a suspended license just west of Strickler Road when he struck  68 year old Cristofaro Gambino, of Elizabethtown. Mr. Gambino had apparently gotten out of his vehicle after pulling off the roadway.

Myers fled the scene without stopping even though his vehicle had significant front end damage including a broken windshield.  Emergency crews found Mr. Gambino’s body laying on the road berm.

Charges against Myers include Accidents involving Death While Not Licensed, Tampering with Evidence, Driving Under Suspension and other traffic violations including speeding. Myers was arraigned Friday afternoon
