Fresh fruits and vegetables are in season and ready for you to enjoy.
This summer’s “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” summer scavenger hunt kicked off Saturday at Miller’s Plant Farm in York County.
It gives people the opportunity to sample foods from local vendors.
Brown’s Orchards, Bistro Foods, and Perrydell Dairy were just a few of the local businesses at the event.
The summer long scavenger hunt allows you to taste your way through 32 local farms and businesses, and encourages buying locally grown products.
“We’re doing this as a benefit for “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” and it’s an organization of local businesses that are really pushing local products,” says Dave Miller, President of Miller’s Plant Farm.
All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to benefit the York chapter of “Buy Fresh, Buy Local.”
The scavenger hunt runs through August 10th.

Guys? You forgot the basics…..WHERE? How about an address? "Miller's Plant Farm in York?' How about an address, or better yet, a map link?
And why is channel 8 doing a better job of covering Wrightsville (York county) news, than you?
