GREAT DAYS AHEAD:  The rain has cleared and the clouds are scouring out for this Wednesday.  Some fog is around this morning, but high pressure is squeezing in and northwesterly winds should help to scour the fog out of the region through the morning.   Expect a nice day with increasing sunshine and dropping humidity.  We’ll be in the upper 70s for highs today, so enjoy the break for a bit.  Tomorrow is slightly warmer with a return to the low 80s, but we should hold off the humidity for the final day of spring.  Expect a nice full day of sunshine.

3 Day

SUMMER ARRIVES:  The summer solstice will take place while most of you are sleeping at 1:04 AM on Friday morning.  We’re sitting on a few days of maximum sunrise to sunset time with over 15 hours of sun in the sky from east to west!  The daylight hours will begin to shorten after this week.  The summer feel will return for Friday as well.  Highs hit the middle 80s with a good amount of sun and of course, the return to humid air.

Solstice Comparison

WEEKEND:  We look to remain mainly rain free for Saturday with extra clouds coming to the picture.  It’s warm and muggy though with highs in the mid to upper 80s.  Sunday, we approach 90° under partly cloudy skies.  A few storms may enter the picture later in the day.  Overall, expect a hot and sticky first weekend of summer!

NEXT WEEK:  Several weak waves of energy will be sliding by as the ridge of warmth hangs on for the start of the week.  Expect highs in the upper 80s to near 90° with plenty of mugginess to go around.  The chance for some afternoon showers and storms exist during the day.

Happy Wednesday!  Enjoy the nice weather!
