It was Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill 3rd Annual Burger Battle.
The battle is a timed relay eating contest, with the team consuming the specialty burgers the fastest taking the top honors.
The York City Police Chaplain’s Corps went head to head against a team from Thorton Chevrolet .
Two teams of six will competed for a chance to be crowned Burger Battle Champion of the city. It was York City Police putting down the patties in the shortest amount of time.
” This year is the 30th Anniversary of York City Police Chaplin,” says York City Police Lt. Gene Fells, “a good group of pastors ,local churches, volunteering their time. They do a lot of spiritual work with our officers and residence in York City. I couldn’t think of a better way to raise money for them to help them celebrate their 30th anniversary.”
The team with the fastest time in each market will compete to become National Burger Battle Champion.
