Dogs took over Codorus State Park in York County this weekend. The 12th Annual Codorus Blast included three days of Dock Dog events, also rock climbing, live music, and children’s activities.
Last year, more than 78,000 people attended. They raised money to upgrade the park’s sound system, as well as add new picnic tables and a security system.
“It has grown astronomically. We have people coming in that have lived in Hanover and didn’t know about it and now they are suddenly finding out. But, we are also getting people from neighboring states who come back year after year or found out for the first time and are coming and loving it, and can’t wait to come back next year,” says Lynne Thompson, President of Friends of Codorus State Park.
All proceeds from this year’s festival will continue to be used for park improvements.
