Police in Harrisburg are investigating the city’s 11th homicide of the year.

A man was shot and killed outside a popular bar.

Online court documents show that 40 year old Theodore Meriweather Jr. is charged with criminal homicide.

Harrisburg officers say he shot the ex-husband of a woman with which he was involved with.

FOX43 caught up with friends of the man who was shot as well as those who live nearby.

And while some are brushing it off, others came to the scene of the crime Sunday afternoon to say their final goodbyes.

” I just want to send my “condones” out to his family right now,” says a friend of the man who was killed.

A close friend of the man who was killed Saturday night was too upset to talk with FOX43 on camera.

But she says he was a good man.

She and her “auntie” came to the scene to pray for a man known on the streets as “Mr. Lump”.

“He was a blessed person. Lord Jesus you took him away from us but it feels like he’s still here,” says the woman.

This cell phone video taken by FOX43’s Michael Hyland shows a man being taken into police custody.

It’s not confirmed whether this is 40 year old Theodore Meriweather Jr.

Either way,  people are stunned the city’s homicide number keeps rising.

“It’s just a shame,” says Issac Schatz as he shakes his head.

Roomates Issac Schatz and John Carroll watched the scene play out from their kitchen door just feet away.

“Cars were all through each alley this way that way, they were on Chestnut too,” says John Carroll.

They say the bar where the incident took place has never been a safe spot.

“Just the Pub especially I can’t tell ya how many times a week we come out here and see people getting in scruffles, walking down the alley… doing god knows what in this rite aid parking lot,” says Schatz.

The men say they’ve recieved threats before.

They and friends affected feel crime keeps inching closer and closer.

“Senseless, I mean somebody probably lost their life over an argument over a girl or a pool game or something …just a senseless waste of life if you ask me,” says Carroll.

“It was a blessing just to see him in my prayers last night,” says a close friend of the man who was killed.
