MUGGIES FOR AWHILE

Anchored Bermuda High in the Atlantic will keep it very warm and humid through the upcoming week.  Each day there will be a chance for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and early evening.

We saw a few scattered showers develop this afternoon.  There could be a few isolated storms this afternoon and evening which may produce locally heavy rain but they shouldn’t last long.

FEELING STICKY

It will be a warm and humid night with lows well above average in the upper 60s to low 70s.  Dew points will be running in the upper 60s to low 70s.  It feels sticky outside.

Comfort Factor

Similar day Monday with hazy skies, humid with dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s, and you can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Highs will warm into the upper 80s with some spots hitting the 90 degree mark. Where showers and storms develop, temps will cool off into the 70s until they pass.

Hour by Hour Forecast

SHOWERS AND STORMS POSSIBLE EVERY DAY

The upper level pattern will become more zonal which will allow for a series of disturbances to come in each day keeping the threat for unsettled weather. Best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be in the most intense heating of the day, the afternoon and early evening. Best chance at the moment for an increased chance in wet weather will be Thursday as the strongest dynamics enter into the area.  Showers and storms will linger into Friday.  Highs each day will be in the upper 80s with a few areas maybe touching 90 degrees through Wednesday. With a better chance for showers and storms and a front pushing through, temperatures will be back into the mid 80s towards the end of the week.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

Upper level trough and cooler air swings in for the weekend.  Feeling better with the humidity back down. With the cooler air aloft, this may trigger a few showers for Saturday but it won’t be a complete washout.  Right now the last day of June looks to remain rain free under partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 80s.

Welcome to summer!!!
