A Mother and son are happy homeowners in York County, thanks to some college students.  Ashley Cruz and her 6-year-old son, Oundre, are grateful for the help from York College and Habitat for Humanity.

Senior class members of York College’s Habitat Campus Chapter worked up until graduation day along with underclassmen members and the community to fulfill their commitment to provide a home for a family in need.

Three years of fundraising and countless hours of construction, have transformed a blighted house, located on Jackson Street into a decent and affordable home for the Cruz family.

The students were able to make the home possible through alumni contributions along with Kinsley Construction donating building materials.
