SCOTUS to rule on Prop 8 and DOMA today

Proposition 8, which recognizes marriage as being between a man and woman, and DOMA – the Defense of Marriage Act, prevents same-sex couples from getting many of the benefits that heterosexual couples can get.  Both will take center stage today as we wait for the Supreme Court decisions to come down.
