STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE TODAY
The morning begins with plenty of foggy areas. Allow yourself the extra travel time, because it will be quite dense in many spots. Some sunshine starts the day once the fog lifts. It won’t last for long. An approaching area of low pressure builds the clouds back quickly during the early afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms also enter the picture. Conditions look right yet again for another round of severe weather during the afternoon hours. The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of the area under its “Slight Risk” category for severe weather today. Damaging winds look to be the main threat once more. However, some localized flooding, hail, and even an isolated tornado is possible. High temperatures reach the middle 80s.
STILL UNSETTLED FRIDAY
The low pressure system gets stuck over us, meaning more unsettled weather for Friday. Expect showers and thunderstorms in the picture again under mostly cloudy skies. Storms will stay below severe limits. With the clouds and the rain, highs are in the lower to middle 80s.
UNSETTLED WEEKEND & BEYOND
A strong high pressure system out in the Atlantic keeps the low stuck over us through next week. Saturday a little more sun peeks out, otherwise still expect some isolated showers and rumbles. Sunday through Wednesday, expect more of the same– a mixture of sunshine and clouds, with the chance for some showers and thunderstorms. Highs are in the lower to middle 80s through next Wednesday.
